What am I wearing???

I have finally realised this morning that for the past God knows how many months I have been going out and going to work wearing pretty much anything that I could find/throw on. So I really have no idea what happened this morning? What has changed????

Basically I keep some of my smart suits at work so that when I ride to work I have something to wear. But most of the time I decide to wear something more casual and only go for the suits if I have a meeting that day. So this morning, as usual, I throw on whatever I could find and headed for the pool. The plan was to go swimming, come back home quickly and then go to the dentist before work. So when I finished swimming and was getting ready something just clicked and I looked at myself in the mirror and thought "What the heck am I wearing"??? Needless to say, my quick trip back home turned into "find something decent to wear" trip.

I used to be a person who wasn't overly obsessed with clothes but I used to look smart and have enormous amount of clothes. And then as I got into triathlon somehow I found that now the majority of my clothes is work out clothes. And sporty stuff. Why can't I look like SJP from SATC???? Perhaps I should make more effort from now on. Oh, I don't know.... it seems like too much work.

Just another reason I LOVE having a uniform. No morning thinking required.

I used to have all the best clothes when I lived in Las Vegas, when I moved to Hawaii, I am rarely not in jeans or shorts and my work polo shirt. I ask my sister to buy an outfit for me each year so that at least I have something fashionable in my closet if I get the urge to go out. She lives in nYC so gets much better clothes than we do.

I dress more fashionably now than I used tyo, but I hate to say there are days when I pull whatever out and put it on. I've also worn mismatched shoes to work of different heel lenghts on accident.

It's hard for me to get all 'gussied' up for work, when I am going to be training right afterwards - getting sweaty and prompty taking a shower afterwards. I'm a fourth grade teacher... most of my kids wear the same three outfits all year long so at least they won't notice ;)

Oh I am 100% with you on this one. It's easier to spend the morning at work in my workout clothes rather than a nice dress :) Plus they are so much more comfortable. I think I could work on looking nicer, but it just seems like too much work - haha!

ha ha! Sounds like you live on an island... repeating the SAME outfit is the law here :)
